Water Film Dust Collector

Water film dust collector: A type of purification equipment that utilizes dust-laden gas to impact a water film formed on the inner walls or other specialized components of the collector, thereby trapping dust particles and purifying the gas. It includes various types, such as impact water film, inert (louvered) water film, and centrifugal water film dust collectors.

The principle of operation is as follows: dust-laden gas is introduced tangentially from the bottom of the cylinder, where it rotates and rises. Under the action of centrifugal force, dust particles are separated and thrown against the inner wall of the cylinder, where they are adsorbed by a flowing water film. The water then flows to the bottom cone, and the dust is discharged through the dust discharge port. The water film is formed by several nozzles located at the top of the cylinder, which spray water tangentially onto the cylinder wall. This ensures that the inner wall of the cylinder is constantly covered by a thin, rotating, downward-flowing water film, thereby enhancing the dust removal efficiency. This type of wet dust collector features a simple structure, low metal consumption, and low water consumption. Its disadvantages include its considerable height, which makes installation difficult, and the occurrence of water carryover observed during actual operation.
