Shipment of 100,000-Ton Bentonite Drying Kiln Order
The 100,000-ton drying kiln, custom-built by Mingxing Drying for a large bentonite processing enterprise in Anshan, Liaoning, was recently successfully installed and commissioned. Adhering to the development philosophy that “quality is the cornerstone of the enterprise,” Mingxing Drying has established a unique position in the large-scale drying equipment engineering industry. The cylinder of this custom-built bentonite rotary dryer is rolled from 18mm-thick boiler steel plates. Both the inner and outer surfaces of the cylinder were welded using submerged arc automatic welding, with the welds formed in a single pass. This submerged arc welding method ensures an aesthetically pleasing, robust finish with excellent penetration. The dryer measures 24 meters in length and weighs over 40 tons. The interior is entirely constructed from 8–10 mm high-quality carbon steel plates that have been cut and folded. The “spiral-type” layout ensures that the material and the hot drying airflow mix and circulate within the kiln, thereby improving the dryer’s operational efficiency. The entire system utilizes a direct-fired coal-fired hot air furnace for heating, achieving a primary air supply thermal efficiency of 92–95% and a comprehensive drying thermal efficiency of 67%. The complete system is equipped with cyclone dust collectors and flue gas desulfurization units, making it both energy-efficient and environmentally friendly.
