The effect a catalyst has on a chemical reaction is called catalysis. In industry, catalysts are also referred to as catalysts.
The composition, chemical properties, and quality of a catalyst remain unchanged before and after a reaction; its relationship with the reaction system is akin to that of a lock and key, exhibiting a high degree of selectivity (or specificity). A single catalyst does not necessarily catalyze all chemical reactions. For example, manganese dioxide acts as a catalyst in the thermal decomposition of potassium chlorate, accelerating the reaction rate, but it may not necessarily catalyze other chemical reactions. Certain chemical reactions are not limited to a single catalyst; for instance, in the thermal decomposition of potassium chlorate, magnesium oxide, iron oxide, and copper oxide, among others, can also act as catalysts. Furthermore, a single chemical reaction may have multiple catalysts; for example, when producing oxygen from potassium chlorate, red brick powder or copper oxide can also be used as catalysts.
Overview of the Catalyst Double-Cone Rotary Vacuum Dryer
The catalyst double-cone rotary vacuum dryer features a double-cone rotary tank. Under vacuum conditions inside the tank, steam or hot water is introduced into the jacket for heating. Heat is transferred to the wet material through the inner wall of the tank. The water vapor evaporated from the wet material after absorbing heat is extracted via a vacuum pump through the vacuum exhaust pipe. Because the interior of the vessel is under vacuum, and the rotation of the vessel causes the material to continuously tumble and flip both vertically and horizontally, the drying rate is accelerated, drying efficiency is improved, and uniform drying is achieved.
The catalyst double-cone rotary vacuum dryer is a new type of dryer that integrates mixing and drying functions. When equipped with a condenser and vacuum pump, it forms a vacuum drying system. (If solvent recovery is required, the condenser may be omitted.) This machine features an advanced design. Additionally, because the material rotates along with the vessel itself without accumulating on the vessel walls, the heat transfer coefficient is high, resulting in a rapid drying rate and significant energy savings.

Features of the Catalyst Double-Cone Rotary Vacuum Dryer
● When using oil heating, automatic temperature control is employed, allowing for the drying of biochemical products and mineral raw materials at temperatures ranging from 20°C to 160°C.
● High thermal efficiency, more than twice that of conventional ovens.
● Indirect heating ensures that the material remains uncontaminated, meeting GMP requirements. The equipment is easy to maintain, operate, and clean.
Applications of the Double-Cone Rotary Vacuum Dryer
Suitable for the concentration, mixing, and drying of powdered, granular, and fibrous materials in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, as well as materials requiring low-temperature drying (such as biochemical products). It is particularly suitable for drying materials that are prone to oxidation, volatility, heat sensitivity, strong irritation, or toxicity, as well as materials where crystal destruction must be avoided.
