Titanium dioxide, a white solid or powdery amphoteric oxide with a molecular weight of 79.87, is a white inorganic pigment. It is non-toxic and offers excellent opacity, whiteness, and brightness, and is currently considered one of the most ideal white pigments available. Titanium dioxide has strong adhesion, is chemically stable, and has a snow-white color.
It can be used in industries such as coatings, plastics, papermaking, printing inks, synthetic fibers, rubber, and cosmetics. Due to its high melting point, it is also used to manufacture fire-resistant glass, glazes, enamel, pottery, and high-temperature laboratoryware. Titanium dioxide is an important white pigment and ceramic glaze. It is used in industries such as paints, inks, plastics, rubber, papermaking, synthetic fibers, and watercolor pigments.
The air is filtered and heated before entering the air distributor at the top of the dryer, where the hot air is distributed evenly in a spiral pattern into the drying chamber. The feed liquid is atomized into extremely fine droplets by a high-speed centrifugal atomizer at the top of the tower and, through co-current contact with the hot air, is dried into the finished product in a very short time. The finished product is continuously discharged from the bottom of the drying tower and the cyclone separator, while the exhaust gas is vented to the atmosphere by a fan.
