Hot-air furnaces are thermal power machines that began to be widely used in China in the late 1970s. In many industries, they have become the successor to electric heating sources and traditional steam-powered heat sources. Hot-air furnaces come in a wide variety of types and a comprehensive range of models. Based on coal-feeding methods, they are classified into manually fed and mechanically fed types; based on fuel types, they include coal, oil, and gas furnaces.
Fuel is burned in the burner, producing high-temperature combustion gases. With the aid of heat exchangers designed for enhanced heat transfer, the heat from these high-temperature combustion gases is transferred to the air being heated. After releasing their heat, the combustion gases cool to below 250°C and are exhausted into the atmosphere by an induced draft fan. The air to be heated is forced into the hot air furnace by an optional blower. After absorbing heat, its temperature rises to the rated value and is discharged through the hot air outlet. When the hot air temperature reaches the upper limit of the rated range, the burner automatically stops burning or switches to a pilot flame; When the hot air temperature drops to the rated lower limit, the burner reignites or switches to full-flame combustion. The heating rate can be adjusted via the air intake valve.
